Haritha Karma Sena
Haritha Karma Sena (Green Task Force) is formulated in the Edachery Grama Panchayat (Village Panchayat), that involves the systematic collection of non-biodegradable waste from institutions, houses, and other buildings based on a regular calendar. The collected waste is then sorted and transported to the concerned agency at specified intervals. Currently, 34 Haritha Karma Sena members are working in this Panchayat. Through their precise interventions, this force has been able to transform the Edachery Grama Panchayat into a waste-free village panchayat. The Grama Panchayat has been able to accelerate waste disposal with the sincere intervention of this force.
